Wisconsin Lt. Gov Rebecca Kleefisch, who is facing her own recall election along with Gov. Scott Walker on June 5, has debuted a new TV ad.
Kleefisch’s Democratic opponent in her own recall is Mahlon Mitchell, a Madison firefighter and union leader. She and Walker were elected as a ticket in the 2010 general election, but are in separate elections in the recall — meaning that it is theoretically possible for opposite parties to win each race, though the conventional wisdom has been that the results will likely match up.
“Hi, I’m Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch. Last year, I heard that a high-tech company from Illinois, loved by its employees, was fed up with their state’s new taxes. So I called them up, and told them why they should move to Wisconsin — and, they did. That’s just one of many businesses we’ve helped create more jobs. When Governor Walker and I see an opportunity for great jobs in Wis, we act on it, immediately.”
The ad then closes on a shot of Kleefisch with her husband, state Rep. Joel Kleefisch, and their two young daughters: “Because we promised to make Wis the best place to grow a business, and raise a family.”
