The village of Whitesboro, New York is changing its official logo after a visit from “The Daily Show.”

Correspondent Jessica Williams, who visited Whitesboro in early January, announced the change after her segment about the village’s logo aired Thursday night. Local residents had voted earlier this month to keep the seal, which appeared to show a white man choking a Native American.

Whitesboro Mayor Patrick O’Connor told the Associated Press on Friday that village officials and members of the Oneida Indian Nation planned to discuss a new seal design. The previous design was meant to depict a historic wrestling match between the village’s white founder and an Oneida Indian.
