White House Protesters Call On Leaders To ‘Sit Down’ And Discuss Gun Control

Hours after the shooting in Newtown, Conn. on Friday, a group of gun control advocates gathered outside the White House to call for action on gun control.

Andy Pelosi, a Connecticut gun control advocate who lives “about 20 minutes” from Newtown, said it was time for President Obama to “sit down” with congressional leaders to hash out gun control legislation. He didn’t offer specifics on what reforms a bill should contain.
