President Obama is scheduled to give a statement Thursday evening on the shooting at the Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Ore.

The Thursday morning shooting left 13 dead and more than 20 injured, according to Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum.

Authorities described the shooter as a 20-year-old man, who died after exchanging gunfire with police.

Obama will speak at 6:20 ET from the White House’s Briefing Room, according to a White House announcement.
