White House Press Secretary Jay Carney on Monday said the Obama administration is wary of North Korea’s recent provocations, which have included threats out of Pyongyang to end its cease-fire with South Korea and to nuke the United States.
“We are certainly concerned by North Korea’s bellicose rhetoric,” Carney told reporters during an afternoon press briefing.
Carney said North Korea will “achieve nothing” with its saber-rattling and urged the country’s young leader Kim Jong-Un to comply with its international obligations.
