UPDATE: 4:34 p.m.:
A lockdown Tuesday afternoon at the White House prompted by a fence jumper was lifted after about 20 minutes, NBC News reported.

A pool reporter first said the White House was under a possible lockdown after he tried to exit the Brady Briefing Room and Secret Service told him to remain inside. The pool report said the White House didn’t offer any immediate details.

The NBC affiliate in Washington reported that a man jumped a fence at the White House complex and that the jumper was in custody of the Secret Service, citing a spokesman for D.C. Fire and EMS.

The White House was briefly put on lockdown in March after a man entered the U.S. Capitol armed with a gun. The White House was also put on lockdown for about an hour in September after an “unattended package” was found in a nearby park.

Omar Gonzalez was carrying a knife when he jumped over the fence in 2014 and made it deep into the White House.
