Anthony Weiner’s tumultuous New York City mayoral campaign got even rockier on Thursday when he used an interview with a British reporter to mock the British.

After exiting a Manhattan apartment building, Weiner was approached by the journalist, a reporter for British-ITV, who asked him if he was driven by a “hunger for the big job.” Weiner couldn’t contain his annoyance.

“It’s hard to take you seriously,” Weiner said before impersonating her accent.

The reporter later asked him if anything would stop him, prompting Weiner to laugh.

“I just have a feeling I’ve like stepped into a Monty Python bit,” he said.

Weiner closed the interview by providing a faux weather forecast for the reporter’s homeland.

“It’s gonna be raining, cloudy and grey,” he said. “So do what you can, guys. Try to keep your head up, keep a stiff — what is it? — a stiff upper-lip.”

When Weiner was canvassing later, he was heard scolding his campaign staffers for the way they organized paperwork.

“This is no good, the way you have this organized,” Weiner said, according to NBC News. “This is ‘NG,’ not great, not great,” he told a young staffer while cameras were pointed at the two. “Oh boy, this is not as well organized as I like.”
