Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) paid a visit Friday to Hilary Clinton’s campaign headquarters in Brooklyn, further fueling speculation that she’s a top choice to be Clinton’s running mate, The Boston Globe reported.

Warren gave a pep talk to hundreds of Clinton staffers on topics including the need to protect the Dodd-Frank financial rules, protecting the Affordable Care Act and moving forward on a Supreme Court nominee, an anonymous source told the newspaper.

The Massachusetts senator received a warm reception and had some words of tough love for Clinton staffers, according to NBC News.

An anonymous source told NBC News that Warren said to Clinton’s team, “Don’t screw this up.”

Warren endorsed Clinton last week in an interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, and it was reported this week that Clinton was vetting her to be a potential running mate.

Meaning just what? What a bizarre thing to report when it is so content free.

  2. She didn’t “reportedly visit” the Clinton Campaign HQ. She visited. Crap headline.

And way to blow up something–gotta love those “anonymous sources”.

This post seems to be a transparent attempt to gin up another epic “Never Hillary BernieorBust” bullshit thread.

  3. Just a funny line, I’m sure, among the usual exhortations to work hard, stakes are high, etc.etc.

  4. Sigh…Warren as a running mate doesn’t bring anything to the table that will help Clinton, they are basically the same person (in general, and especially to anyone right of center). Clinton would benefit from a younger, dynamic, non-white person (male or female), and she won’t benefit from an old white male. Warren is in a far better position to effect progressive change in the Senate, as the leader of the progressives she’ll be able to put real pressure on Schumer to keep him from drifting too far to the right, and her seat won’t switch to Republican.

I know people see Warren as a great choice, and I like her politics and her drive, but she really is going to do the most good where she is now. It’s just not worth it to bring her aboard to get the few diehard Berners who will refuse to vote for Clinton (they will see Warren as a traitor and not vote anyways), everyone else will eventually vote for her, however grudgingly.
