The 29-year-old behind one of the biggest intelligence leaks in American history was evidently a part of the Ron Paul Revolution, the Washington Post reported Monday.
According to the Post, campaign finance records show that an “Edward Snowden” who appears to be the same man who leaked information related to the National Security Agency’s sweeping surveillance programs made a pair of $250 contributions to Paul’s 2012 presidential campaign.
Snowden said in an interview with The Guardian that he backed a third party candidate in 2008.
