Voter turnout is expected to be higher in the Wisconsin recall elections next week than it was when Wisconsinites elected Gov. Scott Walker in 2010, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

The Government Accountability Board estimated 60% to 65% of voting-age Wisconsinites will cast regular or absentee ballots in Tuesday’s election, well ahead of the 2010 gubernatorial election’s 49.7% turnout but not quite as high as the 69.2% margin in the 2008 presidential election.

But Accountability Board director Kevin Kennedy noted that is hard to predict turnout, particularly in this case when the election is the third gubernatorial recall in the nation’s history.
