Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell (R) has come out against a plan by a Republican Virginia state senators to divide its electoral votes by cogressional district, a move that would have given Mitt Romney a dominant win in the state in 2012. Per the Atlantic’s Molly Ball:
VA Gov. McDonnell does not support the electoral college bill. “He believes Virginia’s existing system works just fine as it is,” per spox.
