In an interview taped last week before he offered an apology for his past remarks about Donald Trump, former Mexican President Vincente Fox railed against the Republican presidential candidate and his proposed wall along the United States’ border with Mexico.
“Wake up Americans, he’s a false prophet,” Fox said in a clip of the “Kick Ass Politics” podcast highlighted by Buzzfeed News. “Think about it, analyze what he’s proposing. Count the amount of lies he says in every speech. Everyday he lies and lies with figures because his sole interest is to do personal business, to get greedy, to get more money, to put the Trump name everywhere in the world.”
Fox made headlines in February when he told Trump that Mexico is “not going to pay for that fucking wall.” He offered an apology to anyone offended by his profanity-laden comments about Trump, before again criticizing Trump last week.
Fox compared Trump to the “demagogues that we had in Latin America” in his interview with “Kick Ass Politics.”
“People believe in him because they tell them, ‘look, I’m gonna get you this job. I’m gonna increase your income. I’m gonna solve your problems.’ And Trump is crazy, he cannot solve all the problems of all these people. He’s crazy,” Fox said.
“I’m not gonna pay for that fucking wall and please don’t take out the fucking full word,” Fox continued. “He’s crazy. He is crazy.”
The former Mexican president then called Trump an “ugly American.”
“He is the hated gringo because he’s attacking all of us. He’s offending all of us,” Fox said. “That could take us to a war, not to a trade war.”
When I took journalism in school, it was an automatic F if you spelled someone’s name wrong. I assume that would be reduced to an F-minus if that someone were the former president of a major country.
His name is VICENTE Fox. Not “Vincente”. Do better, Khattelynne.
Fox knows what Fox News doesn’t.
I know it’s not saying much, but Vicente would make a better US President than Trump.
“Everyday he lies and lies with figures because his sole interest is to do personal business, to get greedy, to get more money.,” Yes, but what Sr. Fox doesn’t mention is that those are Trump’s good points.
He’s got it all wrong.
As President, Trump would use his insider information and powerful position to make everybody else rich. Not himself. (snicker)
