CHARLOTTE — Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who held the gavel Wednesday night as the Democratic National Convention briefly descended into chaos over amendments that put the word “God” and support for Jerusalem as the captial of Israel into the Democratic Party platform, told reporters Thursday that the moment wasn’t worthy of their attention.

“There is no controversy,” he said. Villaraigosa said delegates had “10 minutes to raise an objection” to the amendments and none did.
