The Virginia Democratic Party is not letting up on Gov. Bob McDonnell for his position on women’s health issues, particularly his initial support of the ultrasound bill he recently signed into law, which originally would have required women to undergo transvaginal ultrasounds before receiving an abortion. The video uses footage from Sunday’s “Meet the Press,” in which David Gregory grilled the governor — who is a Mitt Romney surrogate — on his positions, and brings up his past support for bills regulating women’s access to care.

McDonnell is certainly in the running to be Romney’s VP pick if he gets the nomination, but all the attention over his positions on contraception and abortion — including his opposition to contraception in his infamous graduate thesis — aren’t helping his case.
