The official Twitter account for the U.S. embassy in Cairo was restored after a brief outage on Wednesday after Egyptian government officials objected to a tweet containing a link to a ‘Daily Show’ monologue by Comedy Central host Jon Stewart.

In the episode, Stewart mocked Egyptian officials for arresting a fellow friend and satirist, Bassem Youssef, after he allegedly insulted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and Islam.

“That’s illegal? Seriously, that’s illegal in Egypt?” Stewart said. “Because if insulting the President and Islam were a jail-able offense here, Fox News go bye-bye.”

The embassy’s twitter feed no longer contains the tweet in question. Watch Stewart’s monologue here.
