Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump says he’s not really planning on holding mock debates in order to prepare for a televised debate against Hillary Clinton.

“I hadn’t planned on it,” Trump told reporters on his plane Monday afternoon in a video posted by MSNBC. “I never did it before.”

Typically presidential candidates will host mock debates in order to practice their responses and rhetorical discipline ahead of a high-pressure and televised presidential debate. It looks as though Trump may continue running his unorthodox campaign and skip the ritual.

Trump did say that very little could keep him from the debates short of a “hurricanes” or a “natural disaster”

“I expect to do all three,” Trump said. “I look forward to the debates.”
