Another tweet, another call for an investigation.
President Donald Trump on Friday afternoon called for an investigation of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and her “ties” to Russia, just hours after suggesting the same for Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Trump appeared to delete the tweet twice and then tweeted a final version with “hereby” spelled correctly.
I hereby demand a second investigation, after Schumer, of Pelosi for her close ties to Russia, and lying about it. https://t.co/qCDljfF3wN

Trump’s tweet included a link to a Politico story, which fact-checked Pelosi’s claim that she had never met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. The outlet pointed out the two are seen in a photo together. Her spokesman later told the outlet she was referring to a “one-on-one” meeting with him.
This is the second Democratic leader Trump has tweeted about in regard to Russia. Earlier in the afternoon he called for an investigation of Schumer for a 2003 photo of he and Russian President Vladimir Putin meeting.
Pelosi quote tweeted her response to Trump’s call, pointing out, like Schumer, that her meeting was official and photographed by the press.
.@realDonaldTrump doesn’t know difference between official mtg photographed by press & closed secret mtg his AG lied about under oath. https://t.co/YRFCuJkjLA

Apparently, our so-called President wants an investigation into every politician in Washington who has ever met Vladimir Putin.
I’m OK with that. Please proceed.
This is what the world has come to. Look at the world we live in.
She needs to release twenty years of tax returns and tweet out “Your turn, Donnie!”
In keeping with the principle that the way to understand a Trump tweet is not to analyze it but to diagnose it:
One word. Panic.
Yes, this is an excellent strategy, Mr. Pissident. Keep people focused on all things Russia. This will work out very well for you, believe me.
Please proceed, your Royal Assness.
