Trump: I’m ‘Greatly Honored’ By Cruz Endorsement

In a statement released Friday afternoon, Donald Trump called Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) a “tough and brilliant opponent” and said he was “greatly honored” by Cruz’s endorsement.

Cruz infamously declined to endorse Trump during a primetime speech at the Republican National Convention in July, but reversed his position on Friday to throw his support behind the GOP nominee, encouraging voters to do the same.
