Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump continued to complain Tuesday about the Colorado delegates going to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) when he said that the Republican National Committee should be “ashamed of themselves.”

Trump complained about the GOP rules when it was announced that Cruz would win all of Colorado’s 34 delegates following the state’s Republican Convention.

“Our Republican system is absolutely rigged. It’s a phony deal. This is a dirty trick. And I’ll tell you what — the RNC, the Republican National Committee, they should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this kind of crap to happen,” Trump said at a rally in Rome, New York. “I can tell you that. They should be ashamed of themselves.”

Sean Spicer, an RNC spokesman, said earlier in the day that nothing was rigged and suggested Trump should be running a campaign that understood the rules.

“Running for office entails putting together a campaign that understands the process. There’s nothing rigged,” Spicer said.

  1. But Donald, like yourself Rethuglicans are incapable of feeling shame.

  2. “Trump Gripes About Everything: He Should Be Ashamed of Himself”
“Republicans Gripe About Everything: (fill in the blanks)…”

…keep the popcorn coming. Political suicide all over the place.

  3. What a child! The Colorado party elders should be ashamed of themselves if they varied from the rules, published well before the primary season, with copies given to every candidate.

The person who should be ashamed of himself is the Donald, who failed to see it coming, and who got wildly outplayed by those who, you know, read the rules.

For more than 100 years, delegates determined nominations, and the rules haven’t meaningfully changed. The fact that Trump is whining about the rules is simply this: the so called “deal artist” got wildly outplayed, and is suffering from the fact he lost (at least in Colorado) for lack of playing the game by the rules.

Hell, his kids couldn’t even figure out how to register to vote. The acorns…

  4. Mr. Trump doesn’t like it when he is shown up as being incompetent.

    Such a pity.

I suspect he better get used to it with both the convention, and if he makes his way through that, the general election to follow.

Hope he’s on blood pressure meds.
