Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump reminded his Instagram followers on Thursday that rival Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) once criticized the real estate mogul for his “New York values.” ahead of the state’s primary April 19.

Cruz clarified Wednesday that he was referring to “liberal, Democratic” values when he used that line. Cruz first used his “New York values” attack in January during a debate.

Trump used footage from that debate in his Instagram video, including his response, in which he talked about how New York “beautifully” and “humanely” responded to 9/11.

“New York values are American values” then flashed across the screen at the end of the video.

Cruz did not get a warm reception during a Thursday stop in the Bronx, where some residents seemed insulted by his attack.

“Just because he has a Hispanic last name does not mean he’s Hispanic,” Edna Ferrer told The New York Daily News. “His mind is white.”

Others told Cruz directly they thought he didn’t belong in the Bronx.

“You’re running on an anti-immigrant platform, and you’re speaking in the Bronx,” Rodrigo Venegas reportedly told Cruz. “You should not be here.”
