Donald Trump said on Wednesday morning that he has asked President Obama for advice on potential cabinet appointments.
“I have asked him what he would think of this one and that one,” Trump said on NBC’s “Today” when asked if he’s talked to Obama about cabinet selections. “I take his recommendations very seriously. And there are some people that I will be appointing, and in one case have appointed, where he thought very highly of that person.”
Trump said that he’s “now gotten to know President Obama” and that the two have “good chemistry.”
Trump also confirmed on “Today” that Mitt Romney is still in the running to be nominated as secretary of state.
I believe Obama is so intent on trying to save something in America that he doesn’t comprehend how Trump is using him for political cover… Sad, that; very sad.
Relying on the advice of a gay Kenyan Muslim Socialist Communist? SAD!
Oh Trumpie…are you floating this as a cudgel so the Dems will waive the law for Mathis?
Any thoughts on who the one is? I’m guessing Mattis—seemed way too well-reasoned and intellectual compared with the others.
I’m guessing he didn’t seek Obama’s counsel on Carson, Flynn or Sessions.
I wonder how this will play with all the rubes that Trump spent months convincing that Obama is evil incarnate.
I’m sure Obama appreciates Time’s Idiot of the Year making him culpable for his mistakes.
