The same evening Donald Trump railed against the FBI’s findings in the Hillary Clinton email probe and accused Clinton of bribing Attorney General Loretta Lynch, he declined to say whether Lynch would have a place in his administration if elected.

Appearing at a rally Tuesday evening in Raleigh, North Carolina, Trump accused Clinton of offering to keep Lynch on under her administration after FBI Director James Comey announced he would not recommend criminal charges against Clinton for using a private server.

“[Clinton] said today that we may consider the Attorney General to go forward. That’s like a bribe isn’t it? Isn’t that sort of a bribe? I think it’s a bribe,” Trump told the crowd, according to the Washington Post. Moments later, he declared, “It’s a bribe!”

Clinton has not publicly said if she would offer Lynch a job in her administration.

After the event, Trump phoned in to Fox News’ “O’Reilly Factor.” Asked by the host if he would fire Lynch and Comey should he be elected President, Trump was evasive.

“I don’t want to comment on that. I really don’t want to comment on that. It’s inappropriate at this moment,” Trump told Bill O’Reilly.

The presumptive GOP nominee also showed restraint when O’Reilly asked if he would accuse President Obama “of influencing the case” and Clinton of “committing a crime.”

“I’m going to further look into it and we will see what we shall see,” he said. “I’m going to look into it very, very strongly and we will see what we will see.”

  1. Easy question, Donny, and you flubbed it because you don’t have any background in the political world.

Of course the answer should have been , “Yes!”

Trump isn’t smart enough to grasp the “throw 'em under the bus” philosophy of DC.

  2. So it’s appropriate to praise a dictator for killing “terrorists” with no checks or balances, but inappropriate to say that he would fire someone he has accused of accepting “bribes”.

    Got it.

On a related note (and not to give ammo to this crazy person), wouldn’t it have been the easiest branding coup ever to have looked at O’Reilly and said: “Bill, I’d say to them… You’re Fired!”? If he can’t even get that right, you KNOW the campaign is in trouble.

  3. Can he find the time as well as “looking into” all the hibbiejobbies at the airports, like he promised?

  4. And I guess it’s okay to make untoward accusations against everyone else and demand answers from them about their purported actions but still not to address the many questions about his own dubious activities and bizarre statements.

  5. Don’t you know that the Don has people paying him to go “look into things” for him? He’s got enough minions to send to the four corners of the universe to “look into things.” Too bad that they never seem to come back, but hey that’s life.
