Donald Trump receives only one intelligence brief each week on average, fewer briefings than past presidents sat for before taking office, Reuters reported on Friday, citing unnamed U.S. officials.

CBS News reported on Thursday that Trump has declined several intelligence briefings since the election, citing an unnamed Senate aide.

Previous reports at the end of November indicated that Trump had at that point received just two intelligence briefings since the election. Mike Pence reportedly received intelligence briefings almost daily in November, and Reuters reported that Pence currently sits for the briefings six days per week.

  1. Hey, cut him some slack! Negotiating that Apprentice producer job musta taken up a chunk of time and this victory tour is a lotta work!

How can intelligence briefings be more important than tweettacking individuals who call him out on his bullshit?

    Priorities, people, priorities.

  2. Doesn’t really make any difference. He doesn’t have any idea what they are talking about. We may as well have a mannequin there. He’s an uneducated, bigoted buffoon, and he will always be that way. We may be seeing the end of our Democracy as we know it.

  3. A mannequin can do no damage. This idiot certainly can, and will.

  4. So how long before something bad happens (after 1/20/17) and people, Trump supporters included, complain and the intelligence folks will try to say “Hey we tried to tell the President, but he wasn’t interested.”
