Donald Trump is not one to let a spat go—even if it’s with a baby.

During his rally in Des Moines, Iowa Friday, Trump defended an incident earlier in the week where he appeared to kick an infant out of his rally.

During a rant about how dishonest the press is, Trump explained his side of the story, saying that when the crying child interrupted his speech in Virginia and he asked the mother to leave everyone in the crowd was laughing.

“A beautiful baby was crying. And, I mean crying like you would not believe,” he said. “This baby could have been Pavarotti—in fact—I’m going to find out who that baby is, I’m going to make a deal with their parents because we can take that baby to a training school and it will be the next, great Pavarotti.”

Trump went on to say he was frustrated with the “disgusting” press for saying that he “threw a baby out” of his rally.

But rest assured, Trump is still a fan of infants.

“I don’t throw babies out, believe me,” he said. “I love my babies. I love my children. I love babies. I don’t throw babies out, believe me.”
