Republican frontrunner Donald Trump reached a new landmark in the NBC News/SurveyMonkey poll out Tuesday, with 50 percent of registered Republicans saying they support the billionaire’s campaign for President.

While Trump has hovered in the mid-forties in the tracking poll since late February, rival Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) support has decreased slightly each of the last three weeks, netting 26 percent in the latest poll.

Of the Republican and GOP-leaning voters surveyed, 17 percent said they support Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a two-point decrease from the last poll.

The national poll of 10,707 adults was conducted the week of April 18 through April 24. Of the 9,405 surveyed who said they are registered voters, 2,633 were Republicans and there was a 2.6 percent margin of error.
