Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Wednesday he gave out the personal cell phone number of rival candidate Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) during a speech a day earlier “for fun.”
In a morning appearance on the Fox News show “Fox & Friends,” Trump said the doxxing was in response to “everybody calling me names.”
“I did it for fun,” Trump said. “Everybody had a good time. We had a beyond packed house. The place was amazing.”
Trump, echoing his earlier claim that fellow Republicans are attacking him, said he didn’t regret releasing the number.
“I don’t regret it at all. He calls me name, you have to fight back,” Trump said. “I want to be nice. I’m a nice person. Everybody is calling me names, I guess, since I went to number one in the polls.”
The stunt led to numerous reporters calling the phone number on Tuesday.
“When it comes to the Donald, nothing surprises me anymore,” Graham told Politico on Tuesday. “It’s just too bad, really.”

Donnie Dipstick, President… giving out the nuclear security codes for fun…
oh, that Donald…such a prankster.
Oh dear, JEB’s going to get calluses from all the hand-wringing and fever blisters from ‘Il bacio della morte’ every time a friend of Poppy’s sneaks up to the back door in the very early morning.
The part that I laughed at most was Graham saying now he had to get a new phone (and asking folks whether he should do an Android or iPhone).
Dummy: all you have to do is ask your provider for a new phone number. You can keep your phone.
Is this guy really that clueless?
wouldn’t it be fun if somebody gave out trump’s social security number? fun, fun, fun.
