Early Wednesday morning, Donald Trump doubled down on his call for Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to resign from the court over several comments to the media criticizing the Republican presidential candidate.

Trump told the New York Times on Tuesday that Ginsburg’s comments were “inappropriate” and that she should step down.

“I think it’s a disgrace to the court and I think she should apologize to the court. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it,” he said, later adding that Ginsburg should “get off the court as soon as possible.”

Trump’s outrage followed comments from Ginsburg that Trump is a “faker” and that she “can’t imagine” a Trump presidency.

The justice does not appear to be breaking any rules with her recent comments about Trump, though she’s breaking with the Supreme Court’s tradition of not weighing in on presidential candidates, experts told TPM.
