Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump made another campaign promise at a Thursday night rally in Burlington, Vermont: Eliminate gun-free zones at school and military bases.

“I will get rid of gun-free zones in schools, you have to,” Trump said. “And on military bases, my first day it gets signed, ok? My first day. There’s no more gun-free zones.”

Trump said gun-free zones were “bait” to potential offenders.

“Now, you know what a gun-free zone is to a sicko? That’s bait,” he said.
