Donald Trump’s campaign increased its spending in the month of August and added to its campaign coffers, but the Republican nominee still lags behind Hillary Clinton’s campaign in both spending and fundraising.

The Trump campaign spent almost $30 million in August, after spending $18.5 million in July, according to FEC reports filed Tuesday night. Clinton’s campaign spent nearly $50 million in August after spending about $38 million in July, according to the campaign’s FEC report.

Trump brought in about $38 million to his campaign in August, which is not much of a change from the $37 million the campaign raised in July. The Trump campaign ended the month with a little over $50 million cash on hand.

The Clinton campaign raised almost $60 million in August, up from the $52 million the campaign brought in in July. Clinton ended August with about $68 million cash on hand.

Trump’s spending and fundraising have both significantly increased since the Republican nominee launched major fundraising efforts in June. However, the Republican nominee has yet to catch up to the Clinton campaign’s fundraising efforts and spending.
