Corey Lewandowski, campaign manager to presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump, said it would be a waste of time for him to debate Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
Trump released a statement on Friday saying that debating Sanders would be an “easy pay day” but that he was focused on deafeating Sanders’ opponent, Hillary Clinton.
Lewandowski echowed that sentiment on “Fox News Sunday,” saying that the campaign was “squarely focused” on beating Clinton in the general election.
“We’re not going to waste our time debating Bernie Sanders when he’s not going to be the Democratic nominee,” Lewandowski said.
Lewandowski said in the same interview that the campaign had narrowed the list of vice president possibilities for Trump, but didn’t name who was in the running.
First thing he’s said that I agree with.
His mouth to Bernie’s ears.
Wow, is it February 32nd already? I find myself in agreement with something a Trump-head says.
Indeed, the two hold similar positions, just coming from different directions. Trump wants to destroy the Republican Party and Sanders wants to destroy the Democratic Party. It would be like Hitler debating Stalin on how best to maintain domestic order. Trump and Sanders have common ground in one area: Hillary delenda est.
Then why did Dump agree to it, make stipulations that were met and then renege?
Off topic, but has anyone else noticed that Donnie’s hair is changing color? He seems to be letting that godawful fake-o toffee color grow out. Either his advisors have convinced him to let it go more natural in an attempt to look less clownish (although St. Ronnie shoeblacked his hair right up to the end), or campaigning has prevented him from visiting his beauty parlor as regularly as he normally would. (Skin is also s bit less Cheetos-y.)
