Tommy Thompson tried to rebut any doubts about his advanced age Thursday during a rally with shock-rocker Ted Nugent.
“People ask me, ‘You’re 70 years old!’ — I still do a hundred push-ups a day. Still walking four parades on July the 4th. One-hundred-three degrees, I ran back and forth over 11 miles. My young crew, they walked one, then they rode, then they walked a third parade, then they rode. I walked every one of them — I’m tougher than they are!”
Thompson will face three other Republicans in the Aug. 14 primary for Senate.
