The Michigan lawmakers who were recently ousted from the Michigan legislature after they tried to cover up an affair have both announced that they will run for their seats again.
Michigan state Rep. Cindy Gamrat (R), who was expelled from the legislature last week, filed on Thursday to run in the special election for her seat.
“What weighed really heavy on me this whole time, was I felt it was really important for my voters to have a voice in this. I continue to have to fight for them,” Gamrat told the Detroit Free Press. “People keep telling me they feel terrible about what has happened to me and my family. They want to see me fight on.”
Michigan state Rep. Todd Courser (R), who resigned last week before his colleagues could vote to expel him, announced on Friday that he would run for his seat again.
“I felt you needed to see the Conservative work that I accomplished as your State Representative,” he said in a Facebook post, noting that his wife encouraged him to run again.
Courser and Gamrat were ousted from the Michigan house after Courser faked a gay sex scandal in an attempt to cover up an affair with Gamrat. Courser said that he initiated the cover-up to expose blackmailers.
Ah yes, the party of family values, of honesty and integrity. Running again after being KICKED OUT is the ethical and moral thing to do.

Of course his wife wants him to run again … this pushes up his retirement fund for the coming divorce settlement, and keeps him out of the house.
