The cover of Time Magazine’s Nov. 17 issue heralds the beginning of Mitch McConnell’s reign as Senate majority leader.

The cover depicts McConnell in the style of Barack Obama’s “Hope” posters from the 2008 presidential campaign, swapping out that motto for one of “Change,” as the Kentucky Republican has said he would like to end congressional gridlock and work with Democrats and the President.

    Change to what/ for what? Nothing. This was a great big lurch toward hate and stupidity, aided and abetted by a media looking sell a spectacle for ads.
