Tim Kaine Raises $2.2 Million In First Quarter 2012

The Tim Kaine Senate campaign in Virginia announced Tuesday that it raised $2.2 million in the first quarter of 2012, for a total of $7.4 million raised over the course of the campaign, and has $4.4 million cash on hand.

In the previous quarter, at the end of 2011, Kaine raised $1.65 million, and had $3.3 million on hand.

New numbers are not yet available for Kaine’s likely Republican opponent in the general election, former Sen. George Allen. In the previous quarter, Allen raised $1.1. million, and had $2 million on hand.
