A Republican congressman tweeted his outrage Thursday that President Barack Obama made a joke involving race given that, he says, there were “hoodlums rioting” the past few nights in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS) quoted-tweeted a C-SPAN video in which Obama made a joke about actor Morgan Freeman.
“We also honor Wynton Marsalis, who unfortunately, could not make it here today, and Morgan Freeman, who undoubtedly is off playing a black President again,” the President quipped while awarding the National Medals of Arts and Humanities. “He never lets me have my moment.”
Huelskamp apparently found that comment “outrageous” in the wake of violent protests in reaction to the fatal shooting of a black man by Charlotte police.

“Obama jokes about race after two consecutive nights of hoodlums rioting in #Charlotte,” he tweeted. “Outrageous.”
Huelskamp, who recently lost his primary bid and will be leaving office next year, had been tweeting about the unrest before he brought Obama into it:
These are hoodlums, criminals, agitators, not ‘protestors.’ law-abiding Americans should defend themselves. #2A #Charlotte

These RWNJs can always summon fauxtrage about anything Obama says. But seriously, Timmy picked this to comment on after over a year of sneering racism spewing out of Donald Trump’s pie hole? Sheesh.
A waste of bandwidth…if not oxygen
ahhhh, that’s some good faux outrage! Way to act falsely indignant, you very white man.
Little Timmy, too conservative for western Kansas (!), desperately trying to seem relevant.
Laugh about it or cry until you die. Minorities in this country make do.
