Lobbyist Thomas H. Boggs Dies At Age 73

Prominent lobbyist and lawyer Thomas H. Boggs, Jr. died on Monday in his Chevy Chase, Md. home, the Washington Post reported.

Boggs died from an apparent heart attack, his sister, journalist Cokie Roberts told the Post.

He was the son of Thomas Hale Boggs, a former House Majority Leader and Representative from Louisiana.

  1. May he rest in peace, and while I’ve never heard of him, it is his sister Cokie Roberts we’ve all heard of. She’s the reporter who in 2008 on an ABC news program said candidate Obama shouldn’t go to a “foreign exotic” place like Hawaii for vacation but should instead go to Myrtle Beach SC.
