The New York Post gave front page billing Wednesday to one of its favorite scandals with a now-ubiquitous shot of New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner and his wife, Huma Abedin, at a press conference responding to a fresh round of sexting allegations.
But the Post, with its long history of using outrageous puns in its headlines, opted to play it straight and simply highlight the pseudonym Weiner allegedly used while sending lewd online messages.
The New York Times also held Weiner’s feet to the fire, calling on the former congressman to bow out of the mayoral race in the wake of the new allegations
