When asked on Wednesday about Donald Trump’s claims that he committed fraud during the Iowa caucuses, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) did not hold back.

The Texas senator tore into Trump for hurling insults at his fellow Republican presidential candidates every time he doesn’t get his way.

Trump on Wednesday accused Cruz of committing “fraud” in Iowa, citing claims that Cruz’s campaign told Iowa caucusgoers that Ben Carson was dropping out of the race, urging them instead to vote for Cruz. Trump said that Cruz’s victory in the Iowa caucus should be “nullified.”

Cruz on Wednesday said that Trump only made the accusations because he’s upset he lost the Iowa caucus.

“It is no surprise that Donald is throwing yet another temper tantrum — or, if you’d like, yet another ‘Trumpertantrum,’ It seems that his reaction to everything is to throw a fit, to engage in insults,” Cruz told reporters in New Hampshire.

“I understand that Donald finds it very hard to lose, that he finds that very difficult for him. But at the end of the day, the Iowa people spoke. Donald Trump guaranteed a victory in Iowa and then he lost, and he doesn’t like that,” he continued. “His reaction is that he breaks down. He really has problems.”

When asked if he thinks Trump’s reactions are funny, Cruz replied, “I think they’re very funny.”

“I wake up every day and laugh at the latest thing Donald has tweeted because he’s losing it,” he added.

The Texas senator then questioned Trump’s judgement and maturity.

“I don’t know anyone who would be comfortable with someone who behaves this way having his finger on the button. We’re liable to wake up one morning and Donald, if he were president, would have nuked Denmark,” Cruz said.

He then said that his daughters are more mature than Trump.

“My girls are 5 and 7,” Cruz said. “And I got to tell you — Caroline and Catherine are better behaved than a presidential candidate who responds by insulting everyone every day when he loses.”
