In Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) efforts Tuesday to demonstrate just how off-the-wall rival Donald Trump’s claims about his father and Harvey Lee Oswald are, Cruz deadpanned that his father “killed JFK” and also knows where Jimmy Hoffa is buried.
Cruz called Trump’s floating the notion that his father, Rafael, was photographed with Oswald just months before the assassination of President Kennedy “nuts” and “just kooky” while speaking with reporters in Indiana.
“While I’m at it, I guess I should go ahead and admit, yes, my Dad killed JFK, he is secretly Elvis and Jimmy Hoffa is buried in his backyard,” the senator joked.
He went on to say the story originated with the David Pecker-run National Enquirer, which has become a “hit piece” for his friend Trump’s campaign.
“This man is a pathological liar. He doesn’t know the difference between truth and lies. He lies practically every word that comes out of his mouth,” Cruz said of Trump.

Notice how he didn’t also, even sarcastically, admit to being the Zodiac… Hmnnnn.
TPM typically over-hypes the headline, but this one is an extreme understatement of Cruz’s absolute rant on Trump. It was extraordinary!
Yeah, I am surprised there is not more on it yet. Cruz absolutely went off on Trump.
Of course, were he a Democrat, he’d have just confessed to his father assassinating a US President, and we’d have half a dozen investigations already begun.
