Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) won’t attend the President’s final State of the Union Tuesday, the Hill is reporting.
Cruz is the only senator running for president who will not be seated in the House Chamber when the president gives his final State of the Union.
According to his spokesman, Cruz’s absence is “not a snub,” but just a scheduling issue in a bustling presidential cycle. Cruz will forgo the State of the Union to campaign in New Hampshire, where polls show him fighting hard for second place.
According to the Hill story, Cruz has not campaigned in the Granite State since November.

scheduling issue? Oh please.
Rubio: I am glad Cruz also feels that Senate is dysfunctional and nothing can be accomplished unless you are POTUS. I hope he will attend when I am POTUS.
That’s okay. Congress is a slightly better place when he’s not on the premises.
