Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is hoping for a viral hit (in the vein of Sen. Lindsey Graham) when he teamed up with Independent Journal Review on Monday to cook bacon with a “machine gun.”
Spoiler: It’s disgusting.
“There are few things I enjoy more than on weekends, cooking breakfast with the family,” Cruz said. “Of course in Texas, we cook bacon a little differently than most folks.”
Cruz then wrapped bacon around the barrel of a machine gun and fired 4 magazines of ammunition.

Although Cruz and IJR didn’t mention it, they seem to be borrowing the concept from YouTube user Dustin Ellermann, who uploaded his own gun grill to the Internet in March. Ellermann’s video, in which he whispered “so much America right now” while wrapping bacon around a silencer, has been watched more than 920,000 times.

Ed. note: The writer, Caitlin Cruz, is from Dallas and would like y’all to know that this is not how Texans cook bacon.
He’s Trumping again.
Well, nice going, Ted. You just lost the pacifist, vegetarian, animal rights, Muslim, and orthodox Jewish votes.
As IF LIBtards WEre GOING TO VOte for CRuz…
This is what desperation looks like.
An expensive way to cook bacon. Gotta cost at least $5 a magazine.
