Thousands of hacked emails obtained by the Guardian reveal that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad purchased numerous songs from iTunes as the government sponsored violence in Syria intensified over the past three months.

Assad’s musical selection during the period included an eclectic mix of songs, from New Order’s “Bizarre Love Triangle,” to country star Blake Shelton’s “God Gave Me You” to “Look at Me Now” by Chris Brown featuring Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes, to dance hit “Sexy And I Know It” by LMFAO.

The emails, which were reportedly obtained by Syrian revolutionaries, also revealed that Assad used an iTunes account with a New York City-based address, apparently to circumvent U.S. sanctions prohibiting American companies from doing business with the Syrian government.
