The Dow Jones industrial average closed at its highest level since before the 2008 financial crisis on Friday. The Nasdaq Composite closed at an 11-year high.  And nine of the S&P 500’s 10 sectors rose on Friday, the Wall Street Journal reports.

The markets were buoyed by news that the U.S. economy in January added 243,000 jobs and the unemployment rate fell to 8.3 percent.
