Former California Controller and Chief Financial Officer Steve Westly, who is currently a venture capitalist in Silicon Valley, told audience members at the Democratic National Convention Wednesday that President Obama understands what it takes to create the jobs of the future.
“It’s about making sure kids in Charlotte can compete with kids in Shanghai,” Westly said. “As a businessperson from the most dynamic and entrepreneurial place in the world, I can tell you this: no one has done more to help America win that competition than President Barack Obama.”
