Comedian Stephen Colbert shared the one question he would most want to ask Pope Francis in a videotaped interview for the Catholic magazine America, posted on Monday to YouTube.
Colbert said he would ask: “What do you do to get that smile on your face in the morning?”
“The pope seems so happy,” Colbert said. “I was wondering, ‘What’s your regimen in the morning?'”
When his interviewer, America editor-at-large Rev. James Martin, asked Colbert how he thought the Pope stayed so chipper, the comedian responded: “He’d probably say prayer. That, and the fact that you’re pope.”
The former “Colbert Report” host and practicing Catholic also discussed his favorite saint and passage from the Bible and sang a few hymns. Watch below, via America:

I miss you, Stephen!
I don’t like the beard haha
Yeah really, what’s with the rug on his chin?
Very funny guy, and given the reports about how well he treats his staff… a very decent human being too.
“How many divisions does the Pope have?”
