Stephen Colbert, in a video released Saturday ahead of his debut on “The Late Show” in September, had a message in the wake of the Supreme Court legalizing same-sex marriage across the land: “Congratulations, gays!”
“History moves fast,” he said. “It’s hard to believe that gay Americans achieved full constitutional personhood just five years after corporations did!”
Colbert couldn’t help but take a shot at Justice Antonin Scalia, who wrote in his dissent that if he had signed onto the majority opinion, “I would hide my head in a bag.”
“I could’ve sworn he was already hiding his head in a flesh-toned cinch-sack,” Colbert said.
“Please come on my show, sir,” he added.

Glad to see that even though he’s abandoning his persona, that he’s not abandoning political humor and satire.
Stephen booking Scalia seems as unlikely as an ISIS butt plug flag.
Scalia --------- he who argles and bargles , who pokes his jiggeries and thinks that if he hadn’t been born, people would wonder why.
Yeh…riiiiiiiiiiight.
“Flesh-toned cinch sack…” Man, that makes my ribs hurt!
Love the Carson cup! Wonder if it was a gift from Letterman? (Passing the baton, as it were…)
