After Charles Krauthammer’s recent diagnosis of President Obama, Stephen Colbert offered his own assessment of the conservative columnist on Monday.
A former psychiatrist, Krauthammer said last week that he wasn’t comfortable rendering a judgment of Obama from afar. And then he did just that.
“So I decided when I left psychiatry never to use my authority. But let me just say as a layman, without invoking any expertise, Obama is clearly a narcissist in the non-scientific use of the word,” Krauthammer said during an interview on “The Hugh Hewitt Show.” “He is so self-involved, you see it from his rise.”
According to Colbert, that type of analysis makes Krauthammer worthy of a different label altogether.
“I just want to say a former psychiatrist willing to give an on-air diagnosis of a stranger, while at the same time claiming he isn’t doing that, is not a narcissist,” Colbert explained. “He’s just kind of a dick.”

On FOX, both Keith Ablow and Krauthammer violate their medical ethics by diagnosing (publicly) individuals they have never met. I am not surprised that FOX allows this, but aren’t real medical professionals bothered by this?
