The children of Charlie Vacca, the gun instructor who was killed when a 9-year-old girl accidentally shot him with a uzi in Arizona, released a video describing their father and saying they pray for the girl.

The video of the four children, released by Fennemore Craig, the law firm representing the family comes weeks after Vacca died after accidentally being shot in the head by the 9-year-old student who lost control of an uzi at a shooting range in Arizona.

“You’re only 9 years old, we think about you, we are worried about you, we pray for you,” Tyler Vacca said. “And we wish you peace. Our dad would want the same thing.”

“Like you, we are living through this tragic event that we cannot shut off,” Ashley Vacca said. “It’s with us all the time.”

“Someday we hope we can meet you, hug you, and tell you that it’s okay,” Christopher Vacca said.

  1. They’ve done a very thoughtful thing. I hope the little girl will learn how to move beyond the tragedy and it will not affect her negatively.

    This wasn’t her fault.

  2. Why of COURSE Mom is shown in the background wearing CAMO!

  3. It’s all framed in a “fickle finger of fate” context that is stunning to those of us on the outside looking in.

Pfft. Nobody could have predicted that handing a fully automatic firearm to a child could result in something bad happening.
