Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown will go up with his first ad in Ohio Thursday, Justin Barasky, the campaign’s communication’s director, confirms to TPM:
After more than a year of Josh Mandel’s special interest friends attacking Sherrod Brown and lying about his record with 5 million dollars in negative ads, more negative ad spending than anyone else in the country has faced, we’ve decided to go on air.
Brown is running against Ohio state Treasurer Josh Mandel, who put up his own first ad last week. Barasky declined to give more details about the ad buy.
