Seth Rogen would love to get high with Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA).
The “Knocked Up” actor testified before Congress about Alzheimer’s disease on Wednesday and joked that he knew the hearing had nothing to do with legalizing marijuana. ABC News asked Rogen, a huge “House of Cards” fan, who was the one politician he would want to smoke with.
“That [Sen. Tom] Harkin guy seemed pretty cool. I’d go with him,” he responded.
Harkin was one of few lawmakers who actually stuck around for Rogen’s testimony. Rogen called out Sen. Mark Kirk (R-IL) in particular for taking off as soon as he put in some face time with the actor:
Not sure why only two senators were at the hearing. Very symbolic of how the Government views Alzheimer’s. Seems to be a low priority.

.@SenatorKirk pleasure meeting you. Why did you leave before my speech? Just curious.

All those empty seats are senators who are not prioritizing Alzheimer’s. Unless more noise is made, it won’t change. pic.twitter.com/xDW6tlMHmH
